It’s official! Texas bragging rights are on the line as this year’s SERVPRO First Responder Bowl will feature the North Texas Mean Green and the defending First Responder Bowl champions, the Texas State Bobcats. Gerald J. Ford Stadium is located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and home to the SMU Mustang football team. It is named after Gerald J. Ford, a prominent Dallas businessman, attorney, and Southern Methodist University alum (‘66).

Best Buddies Challenge: New York





Choose to ride 100, 40 or 15-miles

Riders will embark from Central Park and cross the George Washington Bridge to continue north along the Hudson River Valley to Bear Mountain State Park. From the summit, riders will roll through Harriman State Park and continue west to finish at the Glenmere Mansion in the Ramapo Mountains.

All routes are all well marked and fully supported. Rest stops along the ride routes feature energy food and drinks, bathrooms, and mechanical and medical assistance. As part of the five-star experience, all rides are assisted by support vehicles and law enforcement officers once underway. We also have sweep vans, ride officials and course marshals that make sure no participant is left behind.

All funds raised benefit Best Buddies International, the largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower people with IDD to form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure jobs, improve communication and advocacy skills, and live independently, while also offering support for their families.

The IDD community that Best Buddies serves individuals with IDD and their families. The IDD community includes, but is not limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, and other undiagnosed disabilities.
